I'm going, are you?
In a little over a week I will be heading to Toronto for the MomThrive conference. To say I am excited is an understatement! Ever since I heard about this fantastic event I have been trying to figure out a way to afford a ticket and the cost of accommodations, food ect. Thank you to my friends over at PTPA.com I don't have to worry about my ticket, and I will be bunking with some pretty amazing ladies so it will be a little easier on the pocket book for sure!
If you have not gotten your ticket yet, I highly recommend you do so. Visit www.momthrive.com to register and learn all about this fantastic opportunity to focus on YOU!

Difficult Goodbyes
It has been a crazy few weeks around our house. Last weekend I spent up north visiting my uncle in the hospital. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer and sadly will not be with us much longer : (. Cancer is something that you know is out there and effecting people every day, but this is the first time that it has really hit close to home and has had such an impact on me directly.
I have a lot of uncles (some by blood, some by marriage) but my uncle Paul is the one I had the strogest relationship with. I remember Sunday dinners at my aunt and uncles house. Always plenty of food and dessert, the table just full of family. Whenever I would sit next to my uncle Paul I would get the gentle squeeze of his hand during grace.
He is the type of person who has an extremely hearty laugh.. you know the kind that comes directly from the gut? ya that is the infectious laugh he had and I will never forget it.
Seeing my uncle laying in the hospital bed, so helpless was just heart breaking. I visited him a few times and just sat and held his hand, stroked his arm and cried. My last memory of him will be kissing him on the forehead, giving him a gentle hug while I said my good-byes and feeling his hand touch my back..
I love you uncle Paul <3

Wordless Wednesday-We are Family..
It has been quite a long time since I've posted anything on this blog. Life in general has been insanely busy and stressful (but also rewarding). I was going to let my domain expire and let go of my blog, but when the time came I just couldn't do it. I really enjoy blogging, I love the friendships I have made with other bloggers and that's just something I'm not ready to step away from <3
I will do my best to update as often as I can.. but for now, here is a new family photo :)
